I couple of "first's"

Our trip to Annapolis last week to visit Kip's family provided Lucy with a couple of first-time experiences. It's so much fun to see her discover the world around her and experience things that open new doors of discovery and wander.

1.) First Boat Ride
Lucy's grandparents and daddy have been anxious for Lucy to experience her first boat ride, and as it turns out, our first night in Annapolis was the perfect opportunity for that event to occur. It was a beautiful night, so we all got in the boat and headed to downtown Annapolis for dinner and gelato. Lucy hated it for about the first 10 minutes and she is not a big fan of the super-cute baby straight jacket life jacket, but after a few minutes she figured out the whole process and had a lot of fun on the boat.

2.) First trip to D.C.
Lucy's mommy, while not so concerned about the boat ride, has been anxious for Lucy to experience Washington, D.C. for the first time. This trip also provided the perfect opportunity for that, and we had a great time introducing Lucy to our Nation's Capital. We explored the Washington Monument grounds, the WWII Memorial, the Mall and the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History.

So fun! I can't wait to take baby boy up to Annapolis and DC. We're already planning our trips for April and January :) I love wondering around Annapolis and all the little shops. Such a fun little town!
